What’s inside our Calabrian Salami Hamper:
- Free Range Organic Soppressata 350g approx. Probably the most famous Calabrian salame, the Soppressata is made with the finest parts of pork. Pressed under stone weights before being cured it is a little flatter than a normal salame. The Calabrian Black Soppressata is obtained from shoulder and rib cuts and is processed by hand, with a knife cut, in order to avoid any increase in the temperature of the meat which might alter its unique qualities.
- Free Range Organic Calabrian Sausage 350g approx. Our spicy salsiccie have prestigious ‘DOP’ status are prepared from the shoulder and ribs of the pork mixed with hot Calabrian chillies. Covered by natural casing, they are dry cured and matured for 45 days to develop their intense spicy flavour. They are a 100% natural product containing no gluten, lactose, preservatives, antioxidants, additives or dyes.
- Spreadable Spicy Calabrian Nduja 190g. Nduja is cured Calabrian salami with herbs, salt and naturally lots of chilli pepper. Bright red in colour with a fiery taste, our ‘Nduja is the real thing, made in Spilinga in the province of Vibo Valentia, the birthplace of this delicacy.
- Organic Chianti Red Wine 750cl (13%). This is an organic Chianti produced from 100% Sangiovese grapes by the Tenuta San Vito Estate, in the beautiful rolling hills that surround Florence. This prestigious and popular Tuscan wine is a dark ruby red with an appealing fresh fruity bouquet. Full-bodied, round and harmonious in the mouth, matured in the bottle to harmonise and develop.
These products are carefully packaged in a useful wooden crate which is wrapped with cellophane and tied with a colourful ribbon. This hamper is sent chilled so cannot be dispatched on a Friday.
